This course extends the topics of Calculus 1. Since this course puts emphasis on theory, detailed
introduction to matrices, determinants and quadratic forms is needed for the analysis of real functions of several variables. The following topics from multi--variable calculus are covered: Partial Differentiation, Gradient, Convex and Concave Functions, Hessian matrix, Optimisation without Constraints and with Equality Constraints using Lagrange Multipliers, and Optimisation over a Closed Bounded Domain.
